KC fostered a love for photography and expressing art from a young age. She grew up in an art loving family, with a graphic artist mother, and photographer as a father.
KC’s passion for design started in high school when a love for anime transformed her into a cosplayer with an affinity for Lolita fashion, in self-made outfits. During her time with the Wilson School of Design at KPU, she cultivated and developed further skills in design, collection development, product line management, and product development.
Milk and Tea is a collection inspired by Japanese street and Lolita fashion, a specific subculture that is highly influenced by Victorian clothing and styles from the Rococo period. The collection features a contemporary play on time-honored silhouettes, paired with uplifting champagne, rose and sandy tones. Ticking both in versatility and textural interest boxes, shirring and lace that elevates casual styles.
Currently, I work at Lululemon as a Junior Designer for Color Concepts where I’ve collaborated and worked closely with other designers and cross-functional partners.
